This is because sexual reproduction provides genetic diversity since sperms and eggs produced contain different combinations of genes compared to the parent organism. The value of genetic diversity isÃâimpairedÃâthrough asexual reproduction and the results are no variation from generation to generation in a species population (Hartfield, Wright, Agrawal, 2016).
